FAQs

Ordering & Shipping

How can I place my order?

  • Both local pickup and nationwide shipping orders can be placed in our online bakery here.

Where can I find your menu?

  • Our menu can be found here.

Where can I pick up my cookies locally?

  • Randolph Village pickup location will be emailed separately once your order is placed.

  • South Royalton pickup location is at First Branch Coffee on Tuesdays only.

How will my shipped cookies arrive?

  • Pembroke Bakery partners with third-party carriers to bring our freshly baked cookies right to your doorstep.

  • Pembroke Bakery e-gift cards will be instantly sent to your email or your recipient’s email.

Where do you ship?

  • We currently ship nationwide. International shipping is not available at this time, but we will keep you posted.

When will my cookies arrive?

  • Cookies are freshly baked and shipped within two business days from our Vermont bakery via 2-3 day shipping. We partner with third-party carriers to bring our cookies to your doorstep. You will receive tracking information once your cookies are on their way.

My cookie order tracking says it’s delayed, what happens now?

  • We work hard to ensure your order arrives on time. However, once your cookies ship, there are factors outside of our control that may cause a delayed delivery. Our third-party carriers may experience delays because of weather, natural disasters, or mechanical errors. Pembroke Bakery is not responsible for shipping delays once cookies are in the hands of our third-party carriers.

My cookie order says it was delivered, but I did not receive it. What should I do?

  • Pembroke Bakery is not liable for orders once they have shipped. If your tracking number reflects that your cookies are delivered but you have not received them, we recommend checking with your neighbors in case they were accidentally delivered to the wrong address. If that is unsuccessful, please contact the respective carrier.

Can I return or exchange my order?

  • Given the perishable nature of our gourmet cookies, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds unless Pembroke Bakery makes an unintended mistake such as a missing item. Please be sure you enter all order and shipping information correctly.

Oops, I put in the wrong shipping address! Can I modify it?

  • We can modify the shipping address as long as your order has not shipped yet. Please contact us as soon as possible via Instagram or via email at info@pembrokebakery.com. Remember, we can only modify the shipping address if your cookies have not shipped yet.

Do I have to be home to receive my cookies?

  • No. Our third-party carriers will deliver our cookies right to your door as they do your other shipments. We do however encourage you to bring your cookies inside as soon as possible to keep them safe from outside weather.

I am sending these as a gift, can I include a gift note?

  • Yes, there is an option at checkout to include a gift note. All notes are handwritten by our team.

Are your shipped cookies the same cookies we get from the bakery in Vermont?

  • Yes, these are the same delicious cookies you get freshly baked here in Vermont. All cookies are shipped the same day they are baked.

Cookie Ingredient Information

Are your cookies certified gluten-free?

  • Our kitchen is not certified gluten-free, but we work hard to minimize the risk of cross-contamination by having a gluten-free dedicated workspace and preparation equipment within our kitchen. All ingredients used are certified gluten-free or naturally gluten-free.

  • Allergy Warning: Our cookies are prepared in a kitchen that contains common allergens, such as dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, tree nuts, and peanuts. While we take steps to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, please be advised cross-contamination is possible.

Where are your cookies baked?

  • Our cookies are prepped and freshly baked in our cottage bakery in Randolph, Vermont.

Do you use locally sourced ingredients?

  • We take pride in partnering with local farmers and sourcing local ingredients whenever possible. Our cookies are thoughtfully crafted with local pasture-raised eggs from Birdsong Farms, butter from Cabot Creamery, Peanut Butter from Green Mountain Peanut Butter, maple sugar and syrup from Silloway Maple, gourmet preserves from Blake Hill Preserves, and espresso from First Branch Coffee.

Cookie Care

How do I care for my cookies?

  • Our cookies are best enjoyed fresh, but if you would like to extend their freshness, the good news is they freeze well. Keep cookies in their sealed bags and place them in an airtight container. Cookies freeze well for up to four months. To enjoy, simply place on the counter and allow them to thaw until room temperature.

Can I reheat my cookies?

  • Yes. Cookies at room temperature can be heated for a freshly baked experience by popping them in the oven at 350°F for 2-3 minutes.

  • While the oven is our preferred method, you can also pop them in the microwave on a microwave-safe plate with a damp paper towel on top or a cup of water next to the plate. This helps with moisture. Heat the cookie for 3-5 seconds at a time until warm.

Customization

Can I place a custom order?

  • Yes, we are happy to work with you on a custom order. Please email us at info@pembrokebakery.com to see how we can create a special order for you.
